The Pace Layers framework (Stewart Brand) helped us understand how quickly or slowly different forces might impact the future.
We chose the faster-moving layers—Imagination, Information, and Technology—because they are spaces where early interventions can influence emerging youth behaviors. These layers are dynamic and offer high potential for shaping near-future coming-of-age experiences. In slower layers like Culture, Governance, and Nature, meaningful shifts require longer timelines and systemic foundation-building before visible change can occur.
